Privacy, security, and safeguarding - digital skills support during Covid19
Event Information
About this Event
Citizens Online helps organisations ensure the switch to online doesn't exclude people. We're a digital inclusion charity with 20 years experience.
Join us via Zoom on Thursday 4th June at 11am to discuss how we help people to understand and learn about online privacy and security. We will also be exploring the safeguarding arrangements needed when providing remote digital skills support. The session will include plenty of time for our regular weekly Q&A on supporting people's digital skills during the pandemic.
We will be joined by Phil Branigan, Digital Champion with our partners Digital Unite, and Microsoft Windows Insider.
All content will be shared with participants after the call.
We know that people who are most at risk for Covid-19 are also most likely to be digitally excluded: people who are older and/or disabled people are less likely to be online, they are also less likely to have devices to access the internet, and they are also more likely to have low digital skills or no digital capability at all.
But we've also seen a huge number of support initiatives emerge. And we know that Digital Champions who were working in libraries and other support locations are no longer able to - but are probably desperate to put their skills and experience to good use at this time.
Please join us via Zoom on Thursday 4th June at 11am and get involved in supporting people to stay safe online. Full details of how to join the session will be shared when you register.
