Private Screening of 'Michael's Map' and pre-Christmas drinks
Wed 14 December 2016, 18:00 – 19:30 GMT
Skimstone Arts warmly invites you to a special private screening of Michael's Map with talks and pre-Christmas drinks and refreshments!
Michael’s Map gives an intimate and heartfelt insight into the lives of people directly and indirectly affected by Dementia. The narrative’s un-specularity of everyday life captures Dementia’s slowly defining impact and explores how the personal relationships in Michael and his wife Jenny's life shift from connecting to possible isolation. Subtle but encompassing - the frustration is silent but visible, yet is there hope?
Michael's Map has been produced in a partnership between the University of Edinburgh and Skimstone Arts. It is based in a research project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council held by Charlotte Clarke and Heather Wilkinson and in partnership with the Mental Health Foundation and Alzheimer Scotland (ES/L01470X/1 - Inciting dialogue and disruption - developing participatory analysis of the experience of living with dementia and dementia care).
We hope to see you there!
