A masterclass in anthropomorphism, Jessica Albarn's debut solo exhibition at Nelly Duff showcases the animal kingdom as you've rarely seen it before.
Idols, astrological representatives, the ways in which we venerate our four-legged counterparts seems endless - and for the majority of Albarn's career as an artist and conservationist, she has explored this fascinating relationship through the medium of drawing. Combined with elegant and intricate geometric patterns, Albarn's examination of the animal's character sits between religious iconography and futuristic portraiture. In 'The Golden Face', she aims to explore the affinity between humans and animals beyond the traditional bounds. Traversing reincarnation, the zodiac and everything in between, it's time to meet The Golden Face.
