In his first solo exhibition, emerging West London artist Theo Brenninkmeijer presents a collection of abstract, other-worldly photographic works that challenge perception and ignite emotion.
Through the fusion of distinct photographs, the work creates new textures, layered realities where the familiar dissolves into vibrant and often ethereal places and spaces. Each piece combines different images with opposing qualities that are brought together to see how their characteristics interact whilst at the same time forming something new.
The exhibition shows us textures that at first may appear banal, before rearranging and reimagining them, reminding us of the magic that sits just below the surface of the everyday.
