Event outline

In this rapidly changing world we are constantly faced with challenges both at work and in our private lives. What can we do to ensure that we make the most effective decisions possible?

In this highly interactive session Mike and Jon will share the challenges they have faced, discuss different approaches and models they have used, and explain how these helped them to choose the right decision for them.

Event Structure

The event will start with refreshments from 6.00-6.30. It will then be delivered in an interactive way using a combination of: direct input, small group discussions and a chance to try out various models in small groups. The second part of the evening will provide people with an opportunity to discuss a challenge that they are currently facing and to receive ideas from other attendees on how to tackle it.

Delegates  should bring with them a current  “real” problem which they would like assistance with.

Facilitators:  Mike Sinnett and Jon Colman

Mike is an Independent Consultant who specialises in helping people to achieve their ambitions. He started his working life in IT and then moved into teaching where he found working with people more rewarding than working with machines. He worked for Midland Bank/HSBC for 30 years where his roles included: L&D manager, internal L&D consultant, L&D Business Partner and HR Specialist – including an overseas assignment as Head of HR Training in HSBC Bank Malta. Mike left HSBC in 2008.

Jon is the Director of Red Vanilla, a Sheffield based  learning and development company, established in 2003.  Jon's three main specialisms  are developing leaders and managers, improving customer experience and helping  people to get better at working together. Much of Jon's work is in Sheffield, working with the two universities and the NHS.
