PROCJAM is a game jam about procedural content generation - find out more on itch.io - and to start the jam off we're hosting a day of talks from procedural generation experts streamed live on the 'net on November 8th. If you want to come and be part of the event in person, grab a free ticket and come along on Saturday to Goldsmiths university campus in London. We'll have coffee and refreshments, breaks to chat about the talks, and you get to ask questions to some of the coolest procedural generation folks in the world!
Our speakers at the PROCJAM event:
- Tom Coxon (Lenna's Inception)
- Darren Grey (Dataqueen, Tales of Maj'Eyal, Roguelike Radio)
- Mark Johnson (Ultima Ratio Regum)
- Hazel McKendrick (No Man's Sky)
- Fernando Ramallo (Panoramic.al)
- Tanya X Short (Shattered Planet, Moon Hunters)
- Dr. Gillian Smith (Northeastern University, Endless Web, Tanagra)
We'll have a schedule up very soon, but the talks are due to start at 1pm, with time to arrive, register and get some coffee from 12.30pm onwards.
We're very kindly hosted and catered by Goldsmiths, with support from PROSECCO and the Computational Creativity Group at Goldsmiths. Huge thanks to them for helping us put on this event.
FAQs
How do I get to the event?
The two nearest rail stations to Goldsmiths are New Cross and New Cross Gate - accessible via London Overground services. New Cross Gate is just one stop away from London Bridge. The Goldsmiths campus is quite large and spread out - before the event we'll be recording videos showing people how to find the New Academic Building from the two major rail stations, and we'll email ticketholders when the videos are online.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
You can contact Mike on Twitter @mtrc and @procjam, or email him directly - mike@cutgar.net.
