ABOUT:
Join us for the next session of the Procurement Act Peer Support Group, designed to help procurement professionals navigate the changes introduced by the new Procurement Act, which came into force on 24 February 2025.
This session will focus on contract management—an area of focus under the new regulations. The Procurement Act 2023 introduces a requirement for councils to publish performance information on their top contracts. Yet, in many local public sector organisations, contract management is dispersed across teams, often without a clear governance structure to support effective oversight or address risks at scale.
We’re delighted to be joined at this session by Natalia Silver and Davina Nandhra from Local Partnerships, who lead on the Contract Management Pioneer Programme. They’ll share insights and best practice to help you strengthen contract delivery and governance.
We’ll also hear from STAR Procurement's Michael Crook, who will present on a bespoke piece of work STAR have delivered to manage the social value delivery of their contracts—an initiative that has significantly boosted social value outcomes.
As always, this session will end with an open floor to:
- Share challenges and successes
- Ask questions and raise concerns
- Learn from peers
Whether you're grappling with implementation of the new regulations or looking to enhance your current contract management practices, this session offers a valuable opportunity to connect and collaborate.
We look forward to seeing you there!
