Procurement Training for Domiciliary Care and Shared Lives Providers (for forthcoming Tenders in 2017)

Linda Sharpstone – Category Manager - Procurement

Target Group:

Private and Voluntary Residential/Nursing and Domiciliary Social Care Providers and Providers of Shared Lives Services

Aims:

To provide an overview of the procurement and evaluation process and rules relating to the awarding of Social Care Contracts.

Outcomes:

This training workshop will be an interactive session which will include group scenario discussions.

  • To have an understanding of Central Bedfordshire’s procurement process.

  • To have an understanding of the rules governing tender processes.

  • To have an understanding of good practice relating to compiling tender documentation for social care contracts.

  • To have an understanding of “top tips” on how to respond to tender questions.

  • To have an understanding of how weighting of scores works.

  • To have an understanding of what criteria are used for assessing an excellent answer to a tender question.
