Join us to hear from speakers about their experiences of procuring new collections management systems and migrating data.

The Higher Education Partnership Programme (HEAP) have curated an engaging session that brings together two speakers from the Higher Education sector to share their experiences of procuring new Collections Management Systems and migrating data. This event offers reflections on the migration process, including: what worked well, what challenges arose, and what they would approach differently.

Following the short presentations there will an interactive Q&A session, providing an opportunity to delve deeper into practical lessons and best practices.

We will hear from the following speakers:

  • Sharon Maxwell, Archivist, The Museum of English Rural Life and University of Reading Special Collections will discuss migrating from Adlib to Axiell Collections
  • Silvia Gallotti, Archivist, London School of Economics Library will talk about migrating from CALM to Epexio

For the Q&A the speakers will be joined by:

  • Jennifer Macmillan, Co-Chair of the Axiell Collections and Ad-lib User Group
  • Dave Heelas, Digital Development Manager, The National Archives
  • Caroline Catchpole, Digital Development Officer, The National Archives

Who should attend

This event is for Higher Education archives interested in learning about procuring collections management systems and data migration. Archives from other organisations are welcome to attend.
