As the country emerges from the pandemic, Productivity Matters explores how new ways of working may be adopted to boost productivity.
About this event
Recovery from the pandemic is just one of the many challenges being faced by Scotland’s business and third sector community - additional issues including digitalisation, hybrid working, innovation, sustainability, workforce wellbeing and economic uncertainty. All of these factors, coupled with ambitions for a net zero and sustainable Scotland, indicate that the way organisations operate needs to evolve, and at pace. However, the evolution of enterprise offers opportunity as well as challenge.
In this hybrid conference, we will examine ways organisations can improve their performance.
The impressive line-up of guest speakers includes Nico Simeone, award-winning fonder of the Six by Nico restaurant chain, Sean Duffy, CEO of the Wise Group, and Cabinet Secretary for Finance and the Economy, Kate Forbes MSP.
Guest speakers and session facilitators will help delegates to:
- Assess how productivity in Scotland is affected by geography and socio-economic factors, and how we can overcome barriers
- Discover the role played by digital leadership and data in performance development and planning
- Analyse how HR, legal and health & safety requirements might affect new ways of working
- Learn from peers on how they: implemented creativity and innovation processes; started their net zero journey; introduced a 4-day week improving productivity and employee engagement
As well as offering practical advice and space for forward thinking, our conference will provide time for networking, and a session exploring the vital importance of mindfulness and wellbeing for ourselves, our colleagues and staff, as we continue on the road to recovery.
