Event description

Description

This workshop will provide you with great tips and tricks to engage your pupils with any subject. We begin with a fun film analysis task that you can use in your classroom the next day. You will learn how film making has been used in the classroom in the past, and you will get the chance to shoot your own footage so that you can take the first steps to becoming a classroom filmmaker.
You will be provided with resources that will cover the production process, and a step by step guide to using Windows Live Movie Maker.

Practitioner:
Raj Madaan
Raj began using film in classrooms in 2010. As he developed his filmmaking skills, he found that passing on this knowledge to pupils and staff was hugely rewarding. He has found critical analysis and moving image production to be a great way to switch young people on to education. Raj has established his own company Madaan Media, delivering workshops in schools for young people, on a variety of subjects and topics.
