Understanding Human Intelligence and how to use it to manage others successfully

You have heard about AI but how about developing our own human intelligence - thinking about how to work through others? You based your career in Science, and are curious about the human processes involved in managing projects and teams? Perhaps you are finding yourself doing less of the science you love, and more of informal negotiations with senior people, your team, your peers? You hear about the courses Big Pharma offer managers and wonder what you are missing or have heard that managing is about coaching and want to know more. If you want greater understanding of human processes for managing your reports and teams better now and in an AI future, then this FREE session is for you.

This session will examine rational and emotional elements of other people's experiences, and how these can aid or impede progress. We will explore understand how coaching processes can help, and when and how, as managers, you can use the coaching and human intelligence to work with others for success.

• The foundational skills of coaching

• Developing Human Intelligence. Understanding the human elements that sit alongside rational decisions

• Using coaching skills and Human Intelligence to negotiate better outcomes with others

• Human Intelligence in an Artificial Intelligence world

The session is run by Kathryn Gordon of InnovationWorks, a business psychologist and coach working with human intelligence who has run courses with MPLS in Oxford University. The event is realised in collaboration with Corinne Branciaroli, Scientist and Coach and the Oxford Science Park.
