Professional Reading Group

The aim of this group is to bring teachers together to read, review and discuss literature that could have a direct impact on their practice.

The group will meet on 3 occasions throughout an academic session.

Prior to meeting a reading will be selected to focus discussion around.

Topics will include but not be limited to:

Active learning, cooperative learning, higher order thinking, questioning, feedback and many other topics which interest the group.

Further aims for the group are, through reading appropriate literature, to;

Create a forum for exploring changes to practice

Create a forum for exploring new teaching ideas

Help teachers make a connection between theory and practice through sharing classroom experiences.
