Do you enjoy giving Reiki treatments?

Are you ready for the next step on your Reiki journey?

Would you like to make giving Reiki treatments as a volunteer, as part of your living or just deepen your Reiki practice?

After over 25 years of giving public Reiki treatments, I would like to share my experience with you and help you to prepare for your next step.

This course may be of interest to you if you enjoy giving Reiki treatments and would you like Reiki to play a greater part in your life. Whether you treat family and friends, already treat a wider circle or even just treat yourself but aspire to treating others: this course is for you if you would like to deepen your Reiki practiceso that it can be a greater part of your life.

You may wish to earn part of your living from giving Reiki treatments, or to offer treatments on a voluntary basis in a hospice or other formal setting. In either case if you get satisfaction from seeing the benefit Reiki can bring to people and would like to do more then I encourage you to explore this step.

1st and 2nd degree Reiki courses give you the basic tools they are not designed to prepare you for working publicly with Reiki. Over recent years the Reiki community has set standards for those wishing to offer Reiki as a professional treatment and the course is based on these standards.

One of the participants of a previous course made the following comment: "An excellent course which would be beneficial for anyone considering giving reiki to the general public or who just wants to give a more professional treatment to family and friends. The course covers the essential aspects of becoming a professional reiki practitioner and highlights some of the pitfalls to avoid. As well as benefitting from Kate's extensive experience and knowledge, course members are able to discuss and learn from each others experiences and problems. The course also provides an opportunity to revise and refresh some of the basic elements of giving a reiki treatment." Liz, Birmingham

The course will take place over 3 weekends. You will also be given suggestions for how to deepen your practice between the weekends. You do not need to have done 2nd degree to begin the course, but 2nd degree is mandatory for verified practitioners.

1st weekend to include:

  • exploring what it means to be a professional Reiki practitioner and the journey that can lead there.

  • review the Reiki treatment practice and how it applies to public treatments, including seated treatment, additional hand positions and Usui Shiki Ryoho treatment form

  • the importance of self care through regular self treatment.

2nd weekend to include:

  • how to prepare and manage your treatment space,

  • how to deal with clients appropriately,

  • what is expected of you as a professional.

  • basic anatomy and physiology.

3rd weekend to include:

  • The flow of money including setting fees

  • legal requirements

  • How to let people know what you are offering (marketing)

  • Next steps

The course will be held at Central England College, Kings Heath, Birmingham, an active complementary health clinic where there are opportunities for suitabley qualified practitioners.

There are local B & Bs for those not local to the area and it may also be possible to find you accommodation with a local student.

The fees are non-residential and do not include meals, but do include refreshments at breaks (including a range of non-caffeine and green teas). There are local shops and a pub for meals, as well as a kitchen at the Clinic for those who would like to bring food to eat in.

This course is designed for students of Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, so you need to have learned Reiki with me, another Reiki Alliance master or a master who follows this form of teaching, including the Nine Elements and Four Aspects. If you are interested in doing the course and are unsure about whether you are initiated into Usui Shiki Ryoho please contact me so that we can discuss whether the course is suitable for you. I'm also happy to discuss with you why I am placing this restriction on the invitation.

There are just 6 places on the course so early booking is advised.

Costs are as follows

Whole course paid in advance by 16 March £600. After that £675

Alternatively you can reserve your place for the whole course with a deposit of £125 with a balance of

£185 for each weekend which can be paid up to the first evening of the weekend.
