Professional Support Group for Childminders

Looking for support, guidance, or just a friendly supportive chat?

Join us for awelcoming drop-in session designed to support your professional practice and wellbeing. Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, this group offers a safe space for childminders to share challenges, ask questions, and get guidance and support on a range of topics.

Held in person at Filton Avenue Nursery and Children's Centre, this is a fantastic opportunity to:

• Get advice and guidance on topics such as safeguarding, EYFS, Ofsted, Curriculum, SEND and improving your practice
• Practical support with running your childminding business, covering policies, finance, marketing, and sustainability.

This is a new regular space for Bristol childminders to grow, reflect, and feel supported, come along and be part of it!

Booking information:

These sessions run during term time only, starting from Term 2 on Monday 10th November, 9:30am–11:00am.

You’re welcome to come on your own or book tickets for other childminders.

You can bring your minded children too, just let us know how many will be coming so we can plan ahead.

Booking Your Sessions:

Please book tickets for each session you'd like to attend.
We’re running 6 sessions during Term 2, all on Mondays from 9:30am to 11:00am:

• 10th November
• 17th November
• 24th November
• 1st December
• 8th December
• 15th December

You’re welcome to come to as many sessions as you need, just make sure to book for each date you plan to attend. If you aren’t able to get to Filton Avenue Nursery School, you can request support by phone or online video call.

Getting here:

Directions -from Gloucester Rd/A38 Northbound, turn right onto Wessex Ave. Follow Wessex Ave onto Lockleaze Road. Turn left onto Blakeney Rd. You will find a path on the left of Blakeney road which leads to the Children Centre entrance

Parking - You can find street parking along Blakeney road and on the surrounding roads.

Public Transport - The nearest bus stop is on Lockleaze Road just a couple minutes walk from the Children's Centre.
