About this event
This interactive Zoom course has been designed for any dentist to attend and focuses on key areas of professionalism which dentists encounter daily, both at work and in their private lives. The aim is for delegates to refresh themselves on their medico-legal and regulatory responsibilities, and explore the common areas in which dentists can find themselves in difficulty throughout their career.
The course leads delegates through the following topic areas via a mix of presentations and small group case discussion.
- Raising concerns about self and others.
- Reflective practice.
- Regulatory and legal duties of candour.
- Personal conduct.
- Personal and professional boundaries.
It will be led by Kay Louise Grant, MDDUS Risk Advisor.
Application has been made to NHS Education of Scotland for 2 CPD sessions/4.5 hours of verifiable CPD.

- You MUST be able to access and fully participate in a Zoom meeting from whatever device you choose to use. Please cut and paste the following URL into your internet browser to access help on how to do this. The page includes the option to join a ‘test meeting’ from the device you intend to use. https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-Joining-a-meeting
- If you experience any technical difficulty when checking you can access Zoom it could be because your local IT support is blocking access. If this happens you might consider using your own mobile device instead – Zoom works well on tablets.
