Aston Law School is pleased to welcome members of the legal community and friends of the university to the second lecture in Aston University’s lecture series in memory of Professor Jill Poole. The lecture is to take place on Friday 19th October 2018 and will be delivered by Lord Justice Leggatt. The lecture,Negotiation in good faith: adapting to changing circumstances in contracts and English contract law, will highlight some changes in the pattern of contracting in the 21st century and will consider how English contract law is developing in response to these changes.

The lecture takes place in memory and celebration of the contribution of Aston Law School’s former Head of School, Professor Jill Poole, to Aston University and contract law scholarship.

There will be a drinks reception from 4.30pm and the lecture will start at 5.30pm. There will then be additional networking opportunities and drinks served after the lecture.

Venue: Aston University Main Building, Birmingham, B4 7ET. The drinks reception will take place in the university’s Great Hall and the lecture will take place in room G11. The rooms will be sign-posted from the main university reception.
