In celebration of Ulster University Business School's 50th anniversary, join us for an inspiring evening with Professor Laura McCauley, Professor of Inclusive Entrepreneurship at Ulster University Business School for her inaugural Professorial Lecture exploring 'Social Enterprises: Catalyst for Economic and Social Change in a Modern World'.
Professor McCauley will draw upon insights in the contemporary and growing area of social entrepreneurship and enterprises which transcend economic and social schools of thoughts and deliver innovative and creative for good solutions. The session will identify the ‘how’ and ‘why’ this is happening across the globe and the challenges that social enterprises face.
Professor McCauley will share insights from her research across the globe including Ireland, the UK, Australia and Colombia. The lecture will ignite passion for creating a better world economically and socially.
This event would be of interest to business, policy makers, government, stakeholders and the community and voluntary sector and anyone with an interest in doing business for good.

Professor Laura McCauley
Laura McCauley is a Professor of Inclusive Entrepreneurship at Ulster University and a Programme Director for the Help to Grow programme. Her research interests include SMEs and inclusive entrepreneurship, with a specific lens on females and ethnic minorities. In particular, she works extensively on national and international research exploring social entrepreneurship. She has led, and leads, on several projects including EU, ESRC, North South Research Programme and UKRI and regularly undertakes consultancy with SMEs supported by InnovateUK, InvestNI, Enterprise Ireland and Intertrade Ireland. She sits on the board of a number of social enterprises and professional organisations in Northern Ireland and across the UK. She is engaged in research networks across the UK impacting, and influencing, executive education for small businesses and developing interventions and practices to support policy and research in inclusive entrepreneurship and knowledge exchange. She has strong links with industry and policy makers where her research is informing policy development and she sits on a number of government working groups on entrepreneurship and social enterprises. She is an assessor for the Small Business Charter in the UK, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM) and a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE) with the Chartered Association of Business Schools.
