Progression with Numicon for Years 3-6 Autumn 2024 (Remote Training)

Key Learning Outcomes

This digital workshop, delivered over the course of two morning sessions, is designed to enable you to:

• Develop an understanding of the Numicon manipulatives that were developed to support the CPA approach to teaching;
• Experience how Numicon supports the development of fluency, mathematical reasoning and problem solving across key mathematical ideas;
• Discover how Numicon ensures curriculum coverage and supports high quality teaching and learning through tried and tested planning, teaching and assessment materials;
• Understand how Numicon addresses the learning needs of all children in Years 3-6 to develop mastery through low threshold and high ceiling activities, pupil practice and deep questioning;
• Discover useful ideas and strategies which can be applied back in your classroom.

Once you have booked your ticket all delegates will receive a link to the digital sessions via Microsoft Teams. The link will be sent the day before the date of the sessions so please keep an eye on your inboxes and check your junk folder. You will also receive a breakdown of the content in each session, as well as a list of resources or materials that you will need.
