Event description

Description

This course is designed to provide participants with the basics of writing proposals for projects. It is for staff or trustees of charitable organisations who are new to, or have limited experience in raising funds for charitable projects. In the current difficult funding environment, the course will provide you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to establish a case for funding for your projects and associated organisational costs, and help you address sustainability issues effectively.

Contents include:

  • Planning and researching a funding proposal before writing it
  • Demonstrating the need for your project
  • Illustrating how the project will make a difference
  • Costing your project accurately
  • The dos and don’ts of proposal writing.

Learning Outcomes

We expect participants to:

  • Develop the confidence to produce a robust funding proposal
  • Be able to present a realistic full cost project budget for funders
  • Learn how to build and maintain relationships with funders
  • Enjoy an interactive session in a friendly and open atmosphere.

The workshop is free to attend but places are limited so please complete the online booking form to reserve your place. If you have any access or special dietary needs, or would prefer further information about the workshop, please contact Sam Obeng-Dokyi either by phone on 07841 561 632 or by email to sam@adpconsultancy.co.uk.
