Overview

An intentional space curated for sharing, healing and offloading after the catastrophic Hurricane Melissa.

An intentional online space curated for the Caribbean diaspora by the Caribbean diaspora as a response to Hurricane Melissa.

These online sessions for Jamaicans (both yard and abroad) aims to allow you to decompress, share and offload the stress and anxiety caused by Hurricane Melissa.

As Caribbean people, healthy expression and seeking wellbeing support can be unfamiliar and a challenge. These sessions will support our people by making the support accessible, secure and as welcoming as possible.

What to expect:

Our facilitators include Wellbeing Practitioner Terrel (insta: @ashertee_) and our Reconnect JA founder Reccarnei (insta: @rickii_icilda), who will guide the session fostering a space of safety with wellness tips and re-shifting thoughts around helplessness for those feeling overwhelmed.

These sessions are specifically and significantly about promoting community care, self love and support pertaining to the mental toll caused by Hurricane Melissa.

Please note:

This is not a therapy group, group wellbeing coaching or psycho-educational masterclass .

This is a safe space to share and offload, but does not replace professional mental health support.
