Working with cyanotype, we'll explore creating with light.

No previous experience is needed, just a willingness to have a go!
There will be an opportunity for your work to be included in a special booklet.
Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. All are welcome – ideal for ages 16+.
Session 1 of 2, participants can attend one or both sessions.

Inspired by the themes of faith, hope and love.

About the Facilitator:
Ellie is a multidisciplinary artist who works intuitively with varying mediums from mixed media painting and drawing, land art photography, community projects & murals. She runs workshops & courses both privately and with ACL (Adult Community Learning) and she seeks to empower others to find their own unique artistic voice. Her work is inspired by her faith and the outer and inner landscape of our world and our interconnectedness within it.

About Emilie:

Emilie Lauren Jones has performed at a variety of events and venues across the UK and Ireland. In 2021, the year Coventry became UK City of Culture, she became Coventry's first ever Poet Laureate.

One of the commissioned poets for UK City of Culture 2021, Emilie has previously performed alongside poets such as Simon Armitage, Liz Berry and Roy McFarlane. Her poetry has been featured on local and national radio including on BBC Radio 4, BBC 5Live and BBC 6 Music.

Emilie also regular writing workshops for adults and young people, she also enjoys visiting schools and community groups to share her love of words.

In 2020 and 2021, she represented her city in the Coventry-Cork Poetry exchange. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Birmingham, is part of the 2020/21 Nine Arches Press 'Dynamo' scheme and the 2021/22 Room 204 programme with Writing West Midlands.

She is the current Artist in Resident for Central Hall Methodist Church, Coventry - see 'Artist in Residence' tab for full info of all the amazing free events that are happening!

Emilie is available for and experienced in: performances, commissions, community projects, residencies, school visits, and workshops for both adults and children.
