Event description

Description

Sign up here to attend our first community face-to-face event of 2020, focusing on ‘Surviving the System’.

What will we be covering?

Join us as we piece together our collective knowledge to better understand how we can be ‘surviving the system’. Delegates will share their own experiences, and hear from expert guest speakers, to better understand the challenges across the system - both for themselves and others. With renewed understanding, we will then work together on how to address these challenges and actively reimagine what transformation of the system looks like. Lunch will be provided.

We have an exciting panel of guest speakers, with years of experience navigating the system at different levels and in different roles. We will be hearing from:

  • Anne-Marie Monaghan, User of Services

  • Angiolina Foster, CEO of NHS 24

  • Dee Fraser, Deputy Director of Coalition of Care and Support

Can’t make the date? Why not look at our other events also coming soon:

  • Leading as a ‘Non-Leader’: Solving Everyday Challenges in Health & Social Care is a series of workshops to be held in February at multiple locations in Glasgow on 26 Feb;
  • Self-care Helps Us Deliver the Best Care is a half-day event in Stirling on 25 March;
  • Compassion At Work: Soothing the System is a half-day event in Aberdeen on 27 April.

Registration will open soon for these dates, do check back on the Project Lift Community Events page for a link for ticket registration when released.

Transforming care. Starting with you.

Here in Project Lift, our purpose is to offer a different way of looking at leadership at all levels, in all roles, in working collaboratively and choosing to work compassionately to help our staff meet these challenges. We’re hosting a series of events in 2020 to explore how to tackle the most urgent issues in health and care, and how to create a more sustainable way of working which enables different approaches that prevent new issues occurring, building resilience within ourselves, our teams and the system.

Why would you come to one of our events?

We want to help you to build more collaborative teams, more responsive and compassionate organisations, a kinder, more resilient system - all to help people have better lives across Scotland.

Regardless of where you work, or what stage you’re at in your career, we want to equip you with connections and confidence, knowledge and skills so together we can begin to make things work better and bring people back into the heart of health and social care.

We are hosting four face-to-face events across the country to deep dive into some of the most critical issues in Scottish health and care. Each event is standalone - you don’t need to attend all four. Feel free to choose the one(s) which suit your interest, availability and geography.
