Project Manager Degree Apprenticeship for Health - information session

The University of Cumbria is working in partnership with the NHS Leadership Academy to provide a Project Manager Degree Apprenticeship contextualised to Health, with the University also providing the opportunity for all relevant apprentices to undertake the Mary Seacole Programme.

Included in the apprenticeship are the University of Cumbria BSc Project Management and the Association for Project Management Project Management Qualification (APM PMQ). In tandem with this is the opportunity to also achieve the NHS Leadership Academy award in Healthcare Leadership.

The apprenticeship is fundable via the apprenticeship levy or through 95% government support for non-levy paying organisations, and the University will provide the Mary Seacole Programme at no additional cost.

The qualification is ideal for health and care professionals whose role involves managing projects and driving improvement in care quality and managing key delivery challenges. Completion of the apprenticeship provides eligibility for membership status of the Association for Project Management.

Delivered via online learning to allow access to applicants from across the country, the programme supports apprentices to apply what they have learned in their own workplace and align with the objectives of the NHS People Plan.

The next intake of the apprenticeship will commence in September 2021.
