Project Seagrass: Seagrass Fragment Walk - 1.9 miles

As part of our Seagrass Ocean Rescue Project, we are trailing different methods of restoring seagrass meadows one of which is planting fragments. With the help of the walking community, we will be able to breathe new life into seagrass plants that may have otherwise rotted on the beach. By replanting these fragments, we allow them to continue to provide a healthy functioning habitat that helps fight the climate crisis. Join Project Seagrass and support the work of the Seagrass Ocean Rescue Project by helping us harvest seagrass fragments at the Isle of Wight Walking Festival. We recommend for this walk being comfortable wading to give us the most amount of time to collect fragments.

The 'walk' will focus on fragment hunting so will be slow and deliberate. We request no dogs and to be comfortable wading/in water.
