What will be covered?
The event will cover how to use guided reading effectively as part of your wider reading provision and develop it as a motivational platform for reading for pleasure. It will include how to plan for guided reading, set meaningful activities that move children on and a demonstration session to show what this looks like in practice.
Who will be speaking?
An experienced Teaching and Learning Advisor specialising in Primary Literacy, Lindsay leads inspiring and practical training for all aspects of English teaching, from guided reading to drama and reading for pleasure.
Who should attend?
Subject leaders, Literacy Coordinators and Senior Leader Team.
How many places are available?
Two places per school.
Tea and coffee will be provided free of charge.

Delegates are advised there is no parking on site. There is a church car park next door on Highters Heath Lane with limited spaces as well as local roads surrounding the school.
