Tue 28 March 2017, 10:30 – 18:00 BST
This conference will explore how museums and heritage organisations can develop and sustain relationships with new and existing audiences.
Join us for a day of case study presentations, workshops, and discussion sessions, which will explore the practical issues of working with audiences around the following themes: -
• Engaging with new local audiences and volunteers
• Collaboration and/or co curation with communities and volunteers
• Expanding audiences through digital engagement and innovation
Throughout the day you will hear case studies from a wide variety of speakers from museums, community and third sector organisations, as we aim to provide a space to explore, discuss and share practice on the successes, common challenges, and top tips for developing and sustaining relationships with our audiences from projects and into long term partnership connections.
The day will also include the opportunity to find out about the Geffrye Museums recent ACE funded work engaging with non-visiting communities.
10.30-16.00 followed by a drinks reception from 16.00-18.00.
