This course is aimed at parents and professionals working with young adults (aged 14 years plus). It will explore the fears of young people and parents in this transition period and highlight why developing skills is key to managing feelings of anxiety and leading a fulfilled life. We will explore some key areas to consider promoting independent skills in: including money, socialising and relationships, independent travel and life skills. We will offer some top tips to help and give you the opportunities to make a plan of what you can do next. Finally, we will signpost you to other agencies that can help and support young adults through transition into adult’s service.
