Description

Permanence and Care Excellence Programme (PACE): Promoting permanence for West Lothian's looked after children

Multi-agency two-day workshop

Date: Monday 17th June & Tuesday 18th June 2019

Venue: Howden Park Centre, Howden, Livingston, West Lothian, EH54 6AE

The PACE programme began in 2014 with the aim of enabling more looked after children to experience improved permanence outcomes. The PACE programme applies improvement methodology to identify and address areas of drift and delay in the permanence process, using a whole-system approach. The programme is delivered in partnership with the Scottish Government and the Permanence and Care Team (PaCT) at CELCIS.

This two-day workshop will include an exploration of how looked after children experience permanence within West Lothian, research and data on permanence outcomes for children and families and an introduction to improvement methodology. The event will inform the development of an implementation plan based on the presented data to address drift and delay. A Champions group will be formed after the event to take this forward.
