Promoting Positive Wellbeing- Supporting children with angry feelings

This is a virtual workshop to promote positive emotional wellbeing for families to help manage angry feelings. Anger is a challenging emotion that we all experience at times. This session will look at supporting children with angry feelings. The session will be split into 2 parts:

17:00-17:30: Activities and information tailored to children of all ages (no boring adult bits allowed)

17:30- 18:00: Information for parents to support your children as well as a focus on self-care for parents

The session will be aimed at all ages, younger children may need additional support but there will be a variety of strategies aimed at all. There will also be tips for parents on self care and managing your own fears. We will not be giving advice on specific issues, such as whether your child should return to school, but instead looking at strategies to manage change.

The event will be run as a webinar designed to give information but there will be an opportunity to ask questions using a chat function or by sending an email in advance. Once you have signed up a link to the event will be sent the in the morning of the event over email. This will contain all joining instructions. If the link has not arrived by 12pm please contacts us over eventbrite. Be aware the link won't come through Eventbrite but a Central Bedfordshire Council email so watch out for this.

To participate you will need access to a laptop with either the Microsoft Teams app downloaded or a browser that supports this to be viewed over the web or a smartphone/ tablet with the app downloaded. The App is free to download. Providing you follow the joining instructions you will be able to remain anonymous for the session. You do not need to have your camera or microphone on for this session.

You only need to order 1 ticket per household as you will all be able to use the link shared.
