Workshop 3: SPaG subject knowledge enhancement and assessment of pupils’ writing.
Aims of the course:
The workshop series will enable participants to reflect on models for teaching English whilst developing their own subject knowledge of spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 teachers
This course will address the essential subject knowledge to:
Support the development of the English curriculum within Key Stages 1 and 2.
Explore possible strategies for enhancing children’s learning in English in Key Stages 1 and 2.
Allow participants to discuss and reflect on practice in light of recent research.
Much of the content of this series of workshops will be of interest to Key Stage Three English teachers, especially those who have an interest in transition and/or wish to develop their English language subject knowledge
