Prop Making 101 - Foam Armour Fast
Sat 14 May 2016, 11:00 – 16:00 BST
Join us at Nottingham Hackspace to learn a new skill; creating armour and props from the simplest of materials, foam! All skill levels are welcome to the workshop - whether you're brand new to crafting or a seasoned propsmith.
In the 5 hour workshop you will be able to create your own bracer pair, or a segmented pauldron for the more adventurous. The workshop will focus on how to create foam armour fast, including priming and even some painting to make your newest armour piece look great. Your tutor is a local cosplayer, maker, and creator of things - with creations that include armour, weapons and electronics.
In this session:
All materials supplied
Learn how to cut, shape, decorate, weather, prime, paint, and mount your armour
Links to great online resources and guides will be available to take away after the workshop

The final optional half hour of the afternoon will include a chance to have a tour of the Hackspace and sign up to become a member, if you wish to join our community or even a little earlier.
The cost of the workshop is £20 per person. You can purchase multiple tickets and please arrive promptly.
