Prosper Practice-Exchange: Collaborating to enhance the career development of postdocs

Join the Prosper team and your fellow colleagues who focus on postdoc career development from institutions across the UK for a day of practice sharing, collaboration and action setting, to enhance career development for postdocs.

This event will be held at the iconic Kimpton Clock Tower in Manchester City Centre on February 6th 2025. Formal sessions will run from 10:00 – 16:00, with optional networking from 9:30am.

You will hear from key stakeholders from across the sector, engage with colleagues who have already started to use Prosper at their institution and be inspired to move forward with Prosper in a way which works for you and your institution.

Expect panels, a world café-style discussion session, fireside chats and interactive workshops which will encourage you to reflect on learning and set actions.

Due to the highly interactive nature of the event, spaces are limited to maximise the opportunity to engage for all attendees.

As a result of attending this event, you will:

Learn about the various ways Prosper can enhance career development for postdocs, inspired by approaches from across the sector.
Leave the event with actionable insights and clarity on questions which are a priority to explore for your institution as you move forward with Prosper.

Become aware of the ongoing support available to you from the Prosper team and community as you explore the model further.

Join a thriving community of practice dedicated to postdoc career development and build valuable connections with colleagues from across the UK.

Format of the session

This event will be held in-person at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester.

Who can attend?

The primary audience for this event is staff responsible for postdoc career development at UK institutions. If you are interested in finding out more about Prosper and are not sure if you fall into this category, you can email prosper.postdoc@liverpool.ac.uk to speak to the team directly before booking. There may be more productive ways for you to engage, which we would be happy to discuss.

Please be aware that if your registration does not match our primary audience criteria, we may reach out to propose alternative options to learn about Prosper in lieu of your attendance.

Given the limited spaces at the event, we ask that no more than three participants per institution register to attend. If you would like to make a request for additional attendees from your institution, email prosper.postdoc@liverpool.ac.uk and we will consider.

This event is free to attend and catering will be provided - please indicate any specific dietary preferences or requirements in the registration form.
