Event description
The PROTECT-CH platform trial is joining the NIHR Associate Principal Investigator (API) scheme.

About this event

The NIHR Associate Principal Investigator (PI) Scheme aims to develop junior doctors, nurses and allied health professionals to become the PIs of the future. It provides formal recognition of a trainee's engagement in NIHR Portfolio research studies through the conferment of Associate PI status.

PROTECT-CH has been approved for the API scheme. This webinar will provide further details about the scheme, and will focus on the benefits for the PROTECT-CH trial, PIs and APIs. There will be brief presentations by Professors Philip Bath (PROTECT-CH Chief Investigator) and Professor Jon Wadsley (NIHR Cluster Lead), and an opportunity for questions and discussion. Following the webinar, potential APIs will be able to apply to be part of the scheme.

APIs are restricted to one per PI at this stage. If you have a potential API in mind for PROTECT-CH, please encourage them to attend the webinar. Alternatively, you may wish to hear more about the scheme at the webinar before identifying a suitable API.
