Please note a maximum of 2 people per organisation

The aim of the session is to give staff and trustees a better idea of the dangers posed by cyber crime and some simple strategies to keep their organisations safe from it. The session will be facilitated by Samantha Hancock, Cyber Protect Officer for Leicestershire Police.

Who is this web conference suitable for?

The course is appropriate for trustees, committee members and paid staff with responsibility for safeguarding the assets of the organisation.

What does this web conference cover?

This course will cover:

  • Key risks to community groups from cyber crime
  • Legal responsibilities of trustees in safeguarding information
  • Practical tips for keeping your organisation safe from cyber criminals

How does a web conference work?

Once you have booked onto the web conference you will receive an invitation via email with a link to the course. Simply click the link on the date of the course to take part.

Entry requirements

  • You will need access to the Internet and to be able to hear sound through your computer
  • Participants will require a reasonable understanding of English

  • To access this course free of charge you will need to be currently working for a voluntary or community organisation based in Leicester or Leicestershire. Organisations who do not meet these requirements will be asked to pay
