Is this event family friendly?

Games on display range from Pegi rating 3-16.  It is a parent’s responsibility to guide their children to age-appropriate games during the event. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult. Children require their own ticket.

Where can I park?

There is paid parking available in various locations within the city centre. We encourage using the bus and train service or arriving on foot.

Question 3

Can I turn up on the day and access the event without a ticket or booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there will be a  number of  General Admission tickets available  on the door. Access is dependent on venue capacity and the event organiser granting permission to those who turn up without a ticket. This excludes our Digital Schoolhouse Activity, where pre-booking is required.

There is a time slot on my Digital Schoolhouse Activity ticket, do I need to be on time to attend?

We recommend arriving at the venue at least 15 minutes before the time slot on your ticket so you can be directed to the activity space. If you miss the start of the session we cannot guarantee participation on another time slot during ProtoPlay.

Is the event disability friendly?

Accepted Answer

Please note that the available playing positions are 'standing'. Stools are available for younger and shorter players. Please note the light level during the festival will be low, with flashing moving image and occasional loud noise levels. We understand that this is inaccessible for some players.

Is there disabled access?

Accepted Answer

The ground floor and entrance of the venue is wheelchair accessible with a lift offering access to the first floor. There are accessible toilets located on the ground floor.

What is the UK Games Fund?

UKGF is run by UK Games Talent and Finance Community Interest Company. UKGTF is a non-profit organisation with the remit to support the UK’s early stage games development and digital interactive business and creative ecosystem in terms of both companies and individuals.

Will photographs and video taken at this event?

Accepted Answer

Photography and filming will be taking place at this event. Images and footage may be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to the event organisers website, social media, and printed materials. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please contact the event organiser.
