About this event
Prototyping with GAME JAMS brings together artists, game designers and academics to chat about the value of pilot projects and GAME JAMS.
During this event, you’ll get an introduction to the rules of our GAME JAM, and we will be sharing the three creative briefs. The GAME JAM briefs have been developed by three local artists; The Grief Series, Shanaz Gulzar and AGE OF THE.
During the second part of the event, we’ll talk about the importance of GAME JAMS, and smash apart the stereotype that gaming is antisocial. This roundtable will be with our fantastic guests:
Karen Palmer - Award Winning International Artist and Public Speaker.
Simon Barret – Director of Co-op innovations, an Immersive AR and VR developer.
Dave Lynch – Artist, inventor and researcher.
Lee Stocks – Senior Lecturer of the Game Design course at Leeds Beckett University and Concept Artist.
Whether you’re taking part in the GAME JAM or interested in prototyping, we’d love to have you there!
This event is part of Leeds Digital Festival 2021.
What is a GAME JAM?
It is a gathering of people for the purpose of planning, designing, creating or testing out one or more ideas within a short span of time. "Jam" is a reference to musical jam sessions.
How to access the event:
Prototyping with GAME JAMS is an online event. We'll be sending through details on how to access the event closer to the time - stay tuned.
