Want to learn some new tips and tricks on how to increase our resilience – who doesn’t?! Want to learn how to become a more powerful communicator? Always, right?!

Then join us and a range of PSA members and guests from around the North West and beyond, for our second NW meeting of the year. Connect, network, learn new things and improve you and your speaking business.

Newer members: Regional events represent ideal opportunities to meet more experienced members, pick their brains and get your feet under the table. Long serving members: come and refresh your relationship with your local region… and maybe learn something new for your speaking business.

At our February meeting Heather would like to showcase her new keynote “Sticks and Stones” which is all about how we can become powerful communicators.
She’ll be asking attendees to help her with some specific feedback on the evening about this keynote excerpt.

Actor's get paid to make an audience feel something using someone else's words. As a speaker the words are your own but the objective is the same.

By the time he was 26, Dominic Colenso had flown a spaceship, lost $1,000,000 and been fired by Simon Cowell. He’ll share the lessons he learned during a rollercoaster career as an actor and show you how you can use them in your business to “speak more and speak better”.

Meet Your Speakers

Heather Wright has spent over 20 years inspiring people to change their lives for the better in huge and tiny ways.
She has spent years studying the neuro-psychology of behaviour and influence, and uses this information as well as her highly entertaining style to be the catalyst to inspire and deliver results in individuals, teams and organisations. Heather converts years of research and experience into usable, teachable material to change the habits and behaviours of others. She is a skilled facilitator and an expert on performance and achieving tangible results. She uses humour to relax people and has a plethora of tools and techniques which she uses to capture skills and resourcefulness they didn’t think they possessed.
Heather is a captivating speaker delivering training, keynote speeches and workshops to public services and large multinational companies globally. She has achieved an excellent reputation for her professionalism and accessibility when working with clients and she has enough energy to run a small power station.

And… of course… she won the PSA’s own Speaker Factor Competition in 2017.

Dominic Colenso is a communication skills expert and bestselling author.
Beginning his career as a professional actor, he worked extensively on stage and screen before training as a director at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Performing in many of the UK’s leading theatres, including the National Theatre and the Royal Court, Dominic has appeared on film in everything from BBC period dramas to big-budget action movies. He is best known for playing the role of Virgil Tracy in the Hollywood adaptation of Thunderbirds, with Bill Paxton and Sir Ben Kingsley.
As founder and head performance coach at In Flow, he now works with businesses around the world, helping individuals, teams and leaders take centre stage and deliver outstanding


How do we use your data?

When you register to attend a PSA event, we share your name and contact details with the person running the event. For regional meetings, this will be the Regional President. They may share these details with members of the Regional Committee, for the purposes of contacting you about the event, welcoming you, and following up with you afterwards.

Our aim is to help you speak more and speak better. Our events will help you do just that.


Cancellation Policy: Please be aware that we do not accept cancellation of bookings for PSA meetings, as we make arrangements to support the number of places booked and incur costs that cannot often be recovered. If you have booked a place at a PSA event and are no longer able to attend, please ask around your local PSA community to see if another speaker wishes to attend in your place - we’re happy for you to transfer your booking, and just ask that you let us know by emailing


Processing your personal data: Please note that when you book an event your data will be processed in accordance with the PSA's Privacy Notice. This is in addition to Eventbrite's privacy policy.


We will be taking photographs throughout the event and may also be video recording the event. By purchasing a ticket you agree that all photography may be used at the discretion of the PSA and for the business of any speaker being filmed during the event. However, if you do not wish to appear or be identified in any photography or video footage please advise any Committee member on arrival at the event so we can, of course, accommodate your preference.
