Dear PSA Scotland friends,
We're very much looking forward to welcoming you to our April event - and what a great night we have in store for you, (with three different sessions!) If you’re new to PSA Scotland, you’ll find information at the bottom of this page***.
‘PRESENTING TO WIN’
Our very own member James McGinty will be our headline speaker.
For more information on James, please visit http://mcginty.net .
We are VERY privileged to have a Masterclass from a Speaking Competition Winning Factory. Last year ALONE James won not 1, not 2, not 3... but 20 -- yes 20!! -- speaking competitions. Wow!!
James has been speaking and training for over 25 years, and recently won the UK and Ireland Humorous Speaking Championship, so is now officially Britain’s funniest speaker!
In his interactive session, James will share some insights with us into 'Presenting to Win', which will of course apply to everyone interested in entering PSA Scotland's 'Speaker Factor' competition later this year.
His session will also stretch those experienced speakers who are lining up their own 'trophies' - and of course trophies don't only mean competitions, maybe it's a new client or gig (or both!).
ALSO ON THE NIGHT…
We will have our usual Member Spotlight as well as learning and reflections from THREE recent national conventions.
We will have one Member Spotlight - with interest already being expressed, it's first come first served, so get your application form to Scott Johnston ASAP (usually Maggie, but she's working away this time). You'll find the form on the Facebook page. [Spotlights are open to Associates, Members and Fellows only]
This is a great opportunity to practice a snippet of a speech or run a business brainstorm. The feedback from your colleagues is invaluable and everyone in the room takes away the learning points, not just the Spotlight speaker.
We will also share top tips and highlights from recent conferences.
Since our last event, our President Mel Sherwood has attended the National Conventions in both Australia and South Africa - and was a keynote speaker in South Africa. Mel will share her experience and top tips - and maybe even some big cat safari stories too!
As you probably know, at the start of April there was the PSA UK & Ireland Spring Conference, known as 'Live'. We'll hear from PSA Scotland members who attended, sharing their top tips from the keynote speakers and the round-table 'Meet The Expert' sessions as well as their experience of a PSA conference, where we have the opportunity to rub shoulders with many of the UK's top speakers.
What a great night it will be... and there’s a light buffet too at around 8.00pm - please let us know if you have any dietary/allergy requirements by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org - you can also contact us there with any queries about the event or about PSA Scotland generally.
See you there!

Cancellation Policy: Please be aware that we do not accept cancellation of bookings for PSA meetings, as we make arrangements to support the number of places booked and incur costs that cannot often be recovered. If you have booked a place at a PSA event and are no longer able to attend, please ask around your local PSA community to see if another speaker wishes to attend in your place - we’re happy for you to transfer your booking, and just ask that you let us know by emailing email@example.com.
