This month our keynote speaker Dr Emma Sutton (PSA Scotland's Speaker of the Year) will show you how to create a Speaker Sheet that will help you and your talk stand out and shine.
On the national theme of Authenticity Graham Frost will show you why you should not be afraid to change direction. Mark Wingfield will be delivering his new short talk on Personal Safety with immediate simple takeaways.
For Emma’s very practical delivery, bring with you 1 key topic, testimonials and any current speaker sheets. Through her talk and subsequent workshop, Emma will help you leave with your new Talksheet.
You’ll leave the event knowing:
- The most important words in your entire sheet
- The three Ts to creating a powerful sheet that gets you booked
- How to improve your sheet by not writing a speaker sheet
- The best type of testimonials to help you get booked
Emma started her career as a chemical engineer making weedkiller, but her heart wasn’t really in it. She started a training consultancy only to discover that she was utterly invisible and no-one noticed her. She set about solving this problem and created solutions that were simplicity itself, cutting through the minefield of marketing mayhem.
Having researched hundreds of speaker sheets and over 4000 talk titles from over 700 speakers, she will help you create a simple approach that you can use to help you get booked as a speaker.
Author of a book on presentations and about to launch her first novel called “And Then There Were Four” all this research has taught her all about the power of words, why feelings matter and how editing makes all the difference.
A speaker sheet is not just an invaluable part of the speakers Marketing Toolkit, creating one is an exercise in clarity, in marketing and branding. How do you distil what makes you unique into a paper version of yourself without selling yourself short?
Come along on the 15th March and find out!
Our Showcase Speakers are Graham Frost and Mark Wingfield
Graham will share some of his life story and demonstrate how he has change the direction of his life and how you should not be afraid to Change Direction.
Born into a family of fundamentalist Christians in the mid – 1950’s Graham began to challenge the strict rules of his environment when very young. Discouraged from having friends outside his religious group he left home at 17, alone, knowing that he was probably cutting himself off from his family forever.
Since then, he has been a borstal boy, slept rough on Victoria Station in London, recovered from cancer, and given up smoking in one day. Come and be inspired by his journey.
Mark Wingfield MPowers individuals to handle their very challenging situations. This ranges from helping those surviving child sexual exploitation and domestic violence to building confidence and skills for a wide range of clientele so they can handle all manner of personal challenges.
With a background in sales, product development and customer service, Mark established MAX to enable him to pursue his passion for martial arts as a business – initially as a fun self defence teambuilding experience in 2006. This has evolved into an MPowering Training & Development organisation which fuses martial arts, six sigma process excellence, behavioural styles profiling, advanced communication techniques and Havening Techniques®.
He works in gritty (prison, CSE, DV, frontline staff facing abuse and violence) as well as quite ordinary environments, always seeking to tailor an individual's own MPowerment.
He will be delivering a talk he has been asked to deliver recently on Personal Safety.
Look forward to seeing you there!
