Afternoon Workshop:

James Nathan - Develop your Referral based system

We all love getting referrals, and for the majority of us it is the perfect way to get new business. However, very few businesses have the systems and processes in place to encourage and grow referral rates and capitalise on the power of word of mouth.

Referral Revolution™ is a total business methodology which addresses and significantly increases incoming referral rates through the virtuous circle of Referrals –  The 3C’s: Client, Colleague and Community.


At the end of this workshop you will:

  • Engage with and educate your clients to refer the right kind of prospects more often
  • Harness the secret sales force that exists within your business and capture the potential of cross-selling to your existing client base
  • Win more business more often by talking to the right people at the right time, in the right way.

Julie Holmes  - “Finding your perfect Prospect"  

When you market and sell to everybody, you connect to nobody. As speakers, we are often so desperate (or excited) to share our knowledge and stories that we will speak to anyone who will listen – even if they don’t pay!

Knowing your perfect prospect is about finding your sweet spot, where your message resonates and provides the most value. It is also about recognizing why YOU are the best resource for that client. This will help you focus your marketing and sales, charge more and build a client list of raving fans.

After this talk you will:

  • Identify your target market – the clients that will really value your message,
  • Be able to articulate the value you provide your clients so you can charge appropriately,
  • Know the 3 “personas” that you are selling to in every engagement
  • Understand how your messaging can help you reach your perfect prospect.



We have member showcases where two or three associate or professional members will each present a section of a talk they wish to receive feedback on from peers.

James Nathan


When James stepped off the plane at Leeds Bradford Airport at the age of 23 he thought he was going to be a Chartered Accountant, how wrong could he have been…. now an international speaker, his journey and learnings will inspire whilst he teaches a healthy mix of confidence, skill and mindset to unlock your sales potential.

James works with a very simple, if not unusual philosophy –

“Inside each of us is a Secret Superhero™, a superhero just waiting to get out. A feeling of confidence and power that we knew and loved as children which has sadly since disappeared.

As kids we learned new skills at an exceptional rate, we enjoyed and were excited by learning and the world around us was a wondrous place. But, as we grow into adults and take on the responsibilities involved, that feeling slowly dissipates.

My passion is to help people find that feeling and inner strength again, to learn and to achieve far more than you thought you ever could.

Julie Holmes


A recent immigrant to the UK from America, Julie has been designing, building, marketing and selling enterprise software and services for nearly 20 years.

She loves a good value proposition and gets giddy about ROI (return on investment). She has coached salespeople, marketers, and business owners on finding their sweet spot so they can sell more to their perfect prospect for profitable long term relationships.

Please note, our venue is excellent and has plenty of onsite parking. The nearest mainline station is Reading which is about 15mins by car.


Taxis and buses are available but if you prefer not to use them your fabulous Thames Valley Committee are here to help, if you need a lift to/from the station please contact and we will try to arrange this for you.
