PSE365: Public Sector Cyber Security Virtual Event
Date and time
Location
Online event
On 14 July we bring together industry leaders to share knowledge and best practice on how organisations can protect themselves from attacks.
About this event
The latest cyber security breaches survey found that 39% of UK businesses have identified a cyber attack, a consistent result with previous surveys. However, during September 2020 and August 21, 40% of cyber attacks managed by the National Cyber Security Centre were aimed at the public sector. The survey trend suggests remote collaboration increases the risk of organisations’ data not always being shared securely.
With the Government Cyber Security Strategy published early this year, its clear cyber security, ransomware and data protection are at the top if the agenda for the UK Government, ensuring that core government functions are resilient to cyber security threats by 2030.
Despite the Government’s commitment to ensuring a more secure public sector, many in the sector are in a less mature digital position and with some authorities estimating ransomware attacks may have cost the UK economy a minimum of £615m, how does the public sector navigate the challenges of cyber security while protecting public data?
On 14 July we’re joined by public sector leaders and innovator to explore the key challenges in public sector cyber security. Gain insight into lessons learned and share knowledge and best practice on how organisations can protect themselves against threats and breaches.
We'll be tackling the biggest challenges facing the public sector in cyber security:
Data Protection: Rebuilding Public Trust
Secure by Design: Cyber Security as a Foundation for Digital Transformation
Secure Cloud Services
Tackling Human Error
Securing the Public Sector: Learning from Experience
