Session Aims
- To establish a supportive network where schools can share ideas, effective practice and discuss key issues related to PSHE.
- To explore practical solutions to common challenges, supported by expert guidance from experienced PSHE lead professionals.
Each meeting will provide opportunities to:
- Receive updates and developments in the field of PSHE
- Share and learn from examples of good practice
- Network with colleagues from other schools across the region
Agenda
- Molly Forbes, Founder & Executive Director, The Body Happy Organisation™ CIC - Discover how The Body Happy Organisation™ supports schools in promoting positive body image. Molly will provide an overview of their work and share details of the fully funded sessions available to help pupils build body confidence and develop a healthy relationship with their bodies.
Professional Community Lead
Lorien Joyce, Professional Community Lead and Head of PSHE at Kingsbridge Community College, has been teaching PSHE since the very beginning of her career 20 years ago alongside RE, Philosophy and Politics. She is also the school Gender equality IOP champion and shares responsibility for KCC working towards becoming a Gold Award UNICEF Rights Respecting School.
Karen O'Toole is an Advanced Practitioner at Blackawton Primary School and has been teaching PSHE and French for five years. Over the last three years, alongside working as an HLTA, she has studied Children's Mental Health and Wellbeing, graduating in September 2023 with a First Class Honours Degree from the University of Worcester. She is also the school's Mental Health First Aider for staff and Mental Health Champion for all.

- If the place you are cancelling is for a ‘no additional charge’ event under the SWIFT Offer to Schools, you may withdraw, without penalty, provided a minimum notice of 24 hours before the start time of the event is given.
- If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, for each date of a course for which there is no additional charge, then the following charges will apply per applicant: £25.00
Should a training course recruit insufficient numbers to make it viable, we reserve the right to cancel the course, without penalty, giving a minimum notice of 24 hours.
