Parish Safeguarding Officer Forum
These forums are a chance for Parish Safeguarding Officers within the Diocese of Bath and Wells to network with others, share good practice and ask the safeguarding team any questions. Forums take place online via Zoom and begin at 1 pm. You do not have to attend the entire session once you have signed up.
We have adjusted the way we deliver these forums to highlight specific topics within safeguarding. The main focus of this forum will be:
Designing a Safeguarding Strategy for 2026-2028 with our Safeguarding Manager - Ben Goodhind
As our previous 3 year strategy comes to an end, we will be designing a new Strategy to continue driving safeguarding forward within our churches. Using feedback from the 2024/2025 INEQE audit, training evaluations, national guidance, and PSO input, we will look at the future of the team and how we can best continue to support and develop the practicalities and culture of safeguarding within the diocese.
There will be opportunities to ask any questions about throughout the session as well as a general Q & A towards the end.
