The first part of this event is for PSOs, incumbents and Children and Youth workers from ALL Parishes in Chester Diocese. The Diocese will be sharing new safeguarding communication materials for Parishes, targeted at communicating to children and young people our commitment to keeping them safe in our churches. There will be promotional materials for each Parish to collect and take aware at the event.
Safeguarding campaign launch:
5.30pm - 6.45pm Arrival, welcome and light refreshments. Please arrive through the main Cathedral entrance and come to the Cathedral refectory. Refreshments of tea, coffee, sandwiches and cake available on arrival followed by a presentation and launch of the 'Speak Out, Stay Safe' campaign led by the Diocesan Safeguarding Team (for PSOs, incumbents and Children and Youth workers)
7pm - 7.45pm Safeguarding Service: led by the Bishop of Chester, Bishop of Birkenhead, Bishop of Stockport and Dean of the Cathedral in the Cathedral Nave (all welcome)
7.45pm - 8.45pm Informal networking opportunity with cold drink refreshments under the Peace Doves in the South transept (all welcome)
