Guest Contributers to include
Abdirahim Mohamed (Abdi): Founder/Lead Facilitator of PsychAssist
Abdi Graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in 2014 with very little knowledge and direction of what he was going to do with his degree. Fast forward to 2017; he is an Assistant Psychologist who will be flying to Switzerland in the summer to present his work at an international conference for work within ADHD interventions. He also chairs the Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Pre-Qualified Psychology Group and has a lot of exciting things planned for PsychAssist this year. His ultimate dream is to become a Clinical Psychologist to help provide psychological intervention for those most in need.
Gurkaran Danda (Kaz):
Kaz graduated from Coventry University in 2016 and is currently an MSc Health Psychology student with an aspiration to become a Clinical Psychologist. Kaz has had a wide breadth of experience within the NHS and Alzheimer's Society in many different roles ranging from Volunteer to Research Assistant alongside some of the UK's leading researchers in Autism. Kaz is living proof that anything is achievable with hard work and refused to let his 2:2 at undergraduate level deter him from pursuing his ambitions.
Thomas Hadden (Tom):
Tom graduated from Coventry University in 2016 and is also a MSc Health Psychology student. Tom worked very hard during his undergraduate and achieved a 1st class honours degree in Psychology. He has also held a Research Assistant post for over 2 years and has a massive interest in areas such as Stress, Health and Behaviour change. Tom also has over 6 months experience of being a Smoke Cessation Practitioner within the University. Tom's ambitions for the future are to enter consultancy roles within Health Psychology whilst also pursuing his passion of conducting psychological research.
