Psychology Careers Conference
Event Information
Description
Studying psychology at university is all fun and games, but have you ever stopped and wondered the extent of opportunities your psychology diploma can offer? Most psychology undergraduates aren't aware of the immense variety of career paths available to them; which is why the Glasgow University Psychology Society will be hosting a Psychology Careers Conference.
During this whole-day conference, we will offer you the tools to understand how to make the most of your degree, and hopefully make you consider career paths you never even thought of! Cause we all know if you do what you love, you won't work a day in your life!
We have invited professionals with a background in psychology who work in a wide array of settings including human resources, psychotherapy, counselling, data science and forensic psychology to name a few. They will give their account of how their psychology degree has helped them get to where they are now.
Additionally, a variety of workshops will help you discover and identify your professional skills. These span from career coaching to CV and interview workshops.
There will be a chance for everyone at the conference to network over lunch and at the careers fair, where you can chat to representatives from different companies that employ psychology graduates, organisations that offer volunteering opportunities to gain experience in the field, and programmes for further study.
