Whilst ecstasy was the ‘new’ designer drug of the 1980s and early 1990s many new synthetic stimulants are emerging. Some are being mixed into ecstasy pills, such as PMA which has recently contributed to a spate of deaths and other well publicized substances such as Mephedrone (now a Class B substance) have become commonly used. This course introduces you to some of the most commonly used stimulants (including so-called legal highs) and gives information on legality and trends as well as providing harm reduction advice.
