This day will be required for members who wish to undertake the full PTA course. The day will cover an introduction to being a PTA, the pre-PTA interview, an assessment to ensure members can lift a 70kg mannequin (between 2 people), and a refresher on role training modules.
This day is designed to ensure members have an understanding of the PTA role, cover areas where skill decay has been identified in previous assessments, and identify any areas needing further development prior to the PTA course to ensure members have the best chance of passing.
For those members who wish to undertake the EFA fast track to PTA please bring your completed portfolios. If you are unable to complete the portfolio prior to this date please bring what you have managed to complete.
Operational uniform, including safety boots, should be worn for this day. A lift of 70kg (between 2 people) will be required as part of the day. Please bring a stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, and BM monitor with you.
Please gain your DOICs permission prior to booking on. There will be a charge of £5 for this day.
The full PTA course will take place on 19th and 20th November with assessments taking place on 27th November. All 3 days must be attended to pass the course.
