Severyan Dyakonov (Harvard University)

Cold War in Neutral Spaces of International Organizations: The Soviet Red Cross and Red Crescent Society and the International League of the Red Cross in the 1950s-1980s

Severyan is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University, where he is currently working on the research project: Cold War in Neutral Spaces of International Organizations: The Soviet Red Cross and the International League of the Red Cross in the 1950s-1980s. He has published widely on the history of Soviet foreign policy after the Second World War and on Soviet Influence in India.

Suzanne C. Enzerink (University of St. Gallen)

Divided We Stand: Festac 77 and the Subversive Limits of Cold War Diplomacy

Suzanne is an Assistant Professor of American Studies at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Previously, she worked as an Assistant Professor at the American University of Beirut after she had received her PhD in 2019 from Brown University. She broadly researches the transnational history of the United States in the 20th and 21st century, where she is particularly interested in perspectives from media history, gender studies and critical race studies. She has published widely on these topics in academic journals and in public media.
